How to get rid of cellulite on thighs

90% of women have cellulite, compared to just 2% of men. What are the reasons? A higher proportion of body fat in women, finer skin and hormones (oestrogen) that increase the likelihood of circulatory problems. Nevertheless, there are things you can do. There's a whole list of sports that will help you tackle the problem head-on. All you need to do is choose!

  1. Fitness Walking Is A Great First Step Against Cellulite

As well as being the easiest sport to practise on this list, fitness walking offers the additional advantage of being free or almost free (remember to wear suitable shoes for maximum comfort). This activity will allow you to burn fat and therefore reduce dimpling from cellulite. The longer you walk for (45 minutes and over), the more effectively you will burn fat. And when you think about it, it's easy to get walking : taking the stairs rather than the escalator, or getting off the bus one stop earlier than usual isn't too difficult.

The most motivated among you can then progress to running, which is more demanding for your joints, but also more effective. To maximise results, we advise practising at least 3 times a week : well, you get out what you put in!

  1. Exercise In Water To Combat Cellulite

Get in the water to tackle your cellulite! Water has a massaging effect which can be used to your advantage. You have several options: aquacycling, for example, is an effective way to work your stomach, legs and arms, and will reduce cellulite on the thighs.

We also recommend swimming, especially breast stroke and front crawl, which target the legs. You can even use a pair of fins to work your thigh muscles even harder.

Finally, try aquafitness, which offers the same positive effects of water on your body.

  1. Strength Training: Essential For Combating Cellulite

By choosing exercises that target the legs or arms (cellulite can also occur here sometimes), strength training can also help you beat those dimples once and for all.

The best exercise is squats : this movement allows you to work your thighs and buttocks, helping you to effectively combat accumulations of fat under the skin. HIIT is also an excellent option : this circuit training focuses on sequencing various exercises, with little (or even no) rest between sets. Fat burning guaranteed!
