ABS SHELL: Expanded foam fixed inside the helmet will absorb shocks while ABS shell brings sturdiness for generally low price. This kind of helmet is thus especilly relevant for kids, clubs and occasional climbers.

POLYCARBONATE SHELL :This more recent technology consists of moulding a thin polycarbonate shell on the expanded polystyrene foam. It offers more lightness and shock absorbtion. This kind of helmet is designed for mountaineers and regular climbers.
