What should you put in the first aid kit during the day or at night (every night after returning), on remote trails?

1. To Heal a Wound

The most important is to wash with plenty of water (water flask, river) and eventually with soap. The disinfectant should only used on a clean wound. Cover it with sterile gauze supported by self-adhesive bandages, then consult a doctor when your return. Include individual small bandages for blisters and a pair of small scissors.

2. For Various Injuries

Paracetamol for pain and fever. For diarrhea, nausea or vomiting ask your pharmacist the right product depending on your overall health.

3. The Essentials to Add in Your Bag

  • a mobile phone (in a small airtight plastic bag, in case of rain)
  • a few cereal bars,
  • the sunscreen,
  • the toilet paper,
  • safety pins,
