Once you’re in the water, the body only weighs a sixth of its mass and all movements become easier, even though the water does create a higher resistance than air and makes muscles work harder. That’s why aquagym works well on your figure. Muscles work harder without you even noticing.

A lot of the exercises are done near the edge, where you can reach the bottom. Aquagym lessons are run in local swimming pools and fitness clubs that have a pool.
Two sessions of 45minute each a week is ideal. For the lucky ones who live near the sea, nothing beats a short session everyday.
It’s a good idea to start right now
Aquagym doesn’t require sophisticated equipment. You just need a comfortable swimsuit that enables freedom of movement and resists chlorine. Also, bring a pair of slippers to avoid slipping during exercises.
Classes in local pools and fitness centres will provide all the equipment needed for the exercises: pool noodles, boards, Fixopies, Pullpush, fins… You can also buy your own equipment to enjoy aquagym in a pool outside of classes.
