The Descent – Injury after the Camp

I injured my back during practice at Firozshah Kotla stadium, Delhi. My Physiotherapist proclaimed that I won’t be able to bowl again as it is UP-DISC that I am going through. During these workarounds and setbacks, Decathlon was always there with me, colleagues, friends, all of them had my back and helped me physically and mentally to recover from my toughest time. Slowly after all the rehab, struggle, hard work and blessing of God, I made a comeback this year.

Special mention to FLX for sponsoring me this season with gear and equipment that included polos, pants, gloves, shoes, pads etc.  It helped a lot in my comeback. I represented the district again this year u19. However, the performance was not up to the mark. Obviously, Injury makes you start from zero again.

Injuries hit hard on the body and harder on the mind when you’re a step away from your dream while recovering from a severe back injury. My biggest fear was the comeback.

The hope that my team, family and coach had in me, was my biggest fear and support. I stayed for 6 months off-field, the hardest time of my life. I followed a strict diet and workout to gain back my confidence and to bring back the true me. With all the hardship and support I was back, stronger than before, happier than before.

The battle bought the glory and I was ready to take new challenges and this was the first attempt to the new me. Thanks to Decathlon for keeping me motivated with the work culture and Team spirit.

Right now, I am playing for Ministry of Home Affairs and Bisleri in the Corporate Season. Waiting for the team list for state u19 (days).

Working with Decathlon and playing all the big tournaments. Also, I will start my training very soon for my last u19 year i.e in December. I promise I will give my everything to make it big.
