Lesser Flameback Woodpecker confronting an Indian Palm Squirrel

I was writing an assignment when my phone suddenly rang. It was Aditi and she was calling me downstairs with my camera in what seemed like a desperate hurry. I obediently ran downstairs with my 500mm lens just to be suddenly greeted by this act of a dramatic confrontation. It was probably a rustle between the two regarding food, but it sure made an amazing image.

Though the scale of the animals is comparatively small, the visual reminds me of a fight between Godzilla and his opponent.
